example.com とか予約済みドメイン

メーリングリスト等でメールアドレスのサンプルで使うドメインは、
example.com と相場は決まっているけど、
http://www.example.com/ を見ると以下のように書いてある。

You have reached this web page by typing "example.com", "example.net",
or "example.org" into your web browser.

These domain names are reserved for use in documentation and are not
available for registration. See RFC 2606, Section 3.

ついでに、RFC2606 を見てみると、TLDとして以下の4つが予約されているのがわかって興味深かった。

.test	既存または新規のDNS関連のコードのテスト用
.example	ドキュメントやサンプル向け
.invalid	一目見て無効だとわかるドメイン
.localhost	ループバックIPアドレス用にもうずーーーっと使われているので使ったらかぶるよ。

example.com、example.net、example.org の３つはサンプル用に予約している
よ、と書いてあった。
